What is a cassique (pronounced CASS-seek)?
Historically, cassiques were chieftains in the Carolinas’ low country, assisting newcomers in navigating the terrain while serving as mentors.
Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, our name underscores our mission: Cassique Strategies is an advisory boutique that harnesses the power of expert guidance to a firm’s strategic vision in ways that unlock new opportunities and increase growth across the wealth management space.
Our Leadership
Andy Kalbaugh is Founder & Managing Partner of Cassique Strategies. He is a seasoned C-suite leader who has supported the growth and development of some of the largest and most successful wealth management firms and platforms in the country for over 30 years.
Additionally, Mr. Kalbaugh is a member of the Advisory Board of TowerBrook Capital Partners Management, a leading private equity firm. In this capacity, he advises the firm’s leadership team on investment and expansion opportunities across the wealth management industry.
Before launching Cassique Strategies, Mr. Kalbaugh served as Managing Director & Divisional President at LPL Financial, the NASDAQ-traded wealth management firm. Mr. Kalbaugh, a Member of the Management Committee at LPL, had oversight for the long-term growth, satisfaction and retention of more than 17,000 independent financial advisors and 800 financial institutions, representing more than $900 billion in assets.
Previously, Mr. Kalbaugh has also served as CEO of American General Securities and CEO of Mutual Service Corp.
Mr. Kalbaugh is also currently a board member for Communities In Schools of Mecklenburg County, NC, where he previously served as President.
